Four video layout options are available when presenting via webcam, allowing multiple presenters to be shown in the Media Player simultaneously, with voice-activated switching.
If multiple presenters are connected via webcam, the Producer may change the layouts on the fly by opening the Media Player and hovering over the Presenter tab.
Note: You must have multiple presenters connected by webcam for the layout options to appear.
Things to Know
- Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Microsoft Edge are the supported browsers for presenters. Internet Explorer is not supported and lacks the required WebRTC APIs for webcams.
- The Video Presenter Bridge is cloud-based and can only receive inbound connections. It cannot "dial out," so each presenter must connect to the webcast independently, using their preferred device.
- Only those logged in to Elite Studio as a Producer may change the webcam layouts.
- If a presenter is muted, the voice-activated controls will not hear their audio.
- Presenters must UNMUTE themselves when it's their turn to talk, so the voice activation can detect their audio and display them to the audience.
- Voice activation is used for Layout 1, Layout 2, and Layout 3.
- If a video presenter turns off their camera, their video tile will not display in the video window, but they will still be heard.
- If you have a single webcam presenter and they turn off their camera, the video window will display an image with a speaker icon to indicate that they are audio only.
Layout 1
Layout 1 displays one presenter at a time and is ideal for showing presenters in sequential order.
Voice-activated switching will automatically display the presenter who is actively speaking to the audience.

Layout 2
Layout 2 will display up to 10 presenters within the video window and will dynamically give more screen space to the more active-speaking presenters. This layout also uses automatic face detection and framing to optimize the view of the presenter, or presenters (if the video feed features multiple people).
The placement of presenters in the layout is based on a combination of speaking frequency and the number of faces detected in the video feed. Those that speak more frequently or have more people in the feed will have more screen space.
Notes:
- Face detection/framing cannot be disabled. If you do not want to use this feature, choose a different layout.
- Presenters will be automatically removed from the layout if there is no face detected in the video feed. This will happen if the video feed is muted, the camera lens is covered/moved away from the presenter, or the presenter has walked away.
- Pinning a Presenter is not supported with this layout.

Layout 3
Layout 3 will display up to eight presenters at once.
This layout is an excellent option for collaborative webinar formats. All presenters will be audible and visible simultaneously, similar to a conference bridge.
Using voice-activated switching, the presenter who is actively speaking will be visible above the remaining presenters in a larger window.
Audience View
Layout 4
Layout 4 will display up to four presenters simultaneously, each in a separate square.
All presenters will be audible and visible simultaneously, similar to a conference bridge. This layout would be ideal for a roundtable or collaborative discussion when four presenters (or less) are connected via webcam.
If there are five presenters or more on a webcam, we suggest using Layout 2 or 3.
