Personalize content sections by segments to drive hyper-personalized content experiences and segment content by verticals, industries, titles, etc. Data such as industry, title, and other fields can be used to deliver more engaging and personalized journeys.
Things to Know
- Segments must be created before content can be personalized
- Make sure your Content Experiences are set up to capture the data your segment is looking for
- For example - the registration page should include location fields if your segment is based on location
- Note: The Personalization capability for Target is set at the account level for ALL Target pages within all workspaces of that account (excluding sub-accounts).
Adding Tags
Open the Content Experience you want to add personalization to.
Click on the pencil icon next to the Section Title, then click on the plus sign.
Each of the sections in your Content Experience can be personalized with different segments.
Check the boxes next to the segments you'd like to personalize the section with.
Once a section has been personalized, a magic wand icon will appear next to the title in the admin view.
Audience Experience
When sections have been personalized with Segments, only those viewers who meet the criteria set in the Segment will see the section.
For example, if a section has been set up to show to viewers who live in New York, that section will only appear if the viewer entered their location as New York when registering. If the viewer did not register as being in New York that section will not appear.
