TIBCO Scribe Connector Guide
Contact Support for assistance with the setup of TIBCO Scribe.
Scribe Online
Scribe allows ON24 to take advantage of service connectors to pass information from ON24 to various CRM and marketing automation platforms. Clients are required to set up a connector in Scribe for API access to their end platform. Once a connection is established, ON24 can create the necessary data mappings and logic.

Logging in to Scribe
ON24 will set up the organization in Scribe and send an invitation to the client with instructions to sign up and add the connector.
1. Click on the “Scribe Online” link in the invitation email.
2. Click on Create New Account.
3. Fill out the Sign-Up form. Make sure you use the email address that the invite was sent to.
4. An email will be sent to you to confirm and activate your account. Click on the link in the email.
5. Click on the Continue button to redirect to the Scribe login page.
6. Login to Scribe using email and temporary password.
7. Select the Accept radio button and click OK.
Adding a Connection
From the Dashboard, you can find the Connections section in the lower right-hand corner. To add a new connection, click on the plus (+) sign in the upper right-hand corner of the Connections module.
Salesforce
Important: ON24 is migrating to a new Self Service model of integration without Scribe use. If you are starting a new Self Service integration with Salesforce, or are in the process of migrating solutions, please see our Self-Serve Salesforce Integration article. If you aren't sure about your solution or have questions, please contact Support.
1. Add any Name for the connection. The Alias will automatically generate based on the Name.
2. Select the 'OAuth' option for the Authentication Type. Include 'Soap' in the Salesforce URL field. Click on the 'AUTHENTICATE' button to authenticate access for the connector.
3. Click the TEST button to test the connection. Once the test is successfully completed, click OK.

If updating the campaign object, the Marketing User needs to be checked on the user profile.
Eloqua
1. Add any Name for the connection. The Alias will automatically generate based on the Name.
2. Enter your Eloqua Company, Username, and Password.
3. Click the TEST button to test the connection. Once the test is successfully completed, click OK.

NOTE: When creating a new user in Eloqua for the API connection, the user permissions should include “API Users” and “Advanced Users – Marketing” and you should also not require the user to change their password at the next login.
Eloqua Bulk API
The Bulk API should only be used if clients are hosting registration in Eloqua and passing over the Eloqua contact ID for each registrant into ON24.
1. Add any Name for the connection. The Alias will automatically generate based on the Name.
2. Click AUTHENTICATE. This will open a separate browser tab or window.
3. Click Login to redirect to the Eloqua login page.
4. Enter your Eloqua Company, Username, and Password. Click Sign In.
5. You will be asked to Sign In again using the login credentials that you provided.
6. Click on Accept to allow Scribe to access the Eloqua Bulk API for your instance of Eloqua.
7. Scribe will confirm that the connection has been made.
8. Back in the Scribe Online connector setup, wait for the Status to say “Authentication complete. Click OK to validate and save the connection.” Click TEST to test the connection. Once the test is successfully completed, click OK.

HubSpot
1. Add any Name for the connection. The Alias will automatically generate based on the Name.
2. Enter your HubSpot Account Number and click AUTHENTICATE. This will open a separate browser tab or window.
3. Login to HubSpot and click Authorize to allow Scribe Online to use your data.
4. Scribe will confirm that the connection has been made.
5. Back in the Scribe Online connector setup, wait for the Status to say “Authentication complete. Click OK to validate and save the connection.” Click TEST to test the connection. Once the test is successfully completed, click OK.

Microsoft Dynamics
Follow these instructions for Dynamics 365 CRM or Dynamics 365 Customer Insights - Journeys (formally known as Dynamics for Marketing).
1. Add any Name for the connection. The Alias will automatically generate based on the Name.
2. Select 'Azure AD' for the Deployment option.
3. Click the TEST button to test the connection. Once the test is successfully completed, click OK.

Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (Pardot)
1. Add any Name for the connection. The Alias will automatically generate based on the Name.
2. Enter your your Business Unit ID and click AUTHENTICATE.
- Please review this LINK to ensure that you are using the correct Pardot Business Unit ID when setting up your Pardot connection.
3. In the authentication window enter the Username and Password of the synced user.
4. Back in Scribe, click TEST to verify the connector can communicate with Pardot, and then click OK to save the connector.

Marketo
1. Add any Name for the connection. The Alias will automatically generate based on the Name
2. Enter your Marketo Identity URL, Client ID and Client Secret. Below are instructions for generating these credentials.
- Create an API user with the following permissions:
- Read-Only Activity
- Read-Write Custom Object
- Read-Write Lead (OR Read-Write Person)
- Read-Write opportunity
- Create a service in LaunchPoint for the API user
- After adding the service in LaunchPoint, click on the View Details link to grab the Client ID and Client Secret.
3. Go to Web Services to retrieve the REST API Identity URL.Click the TEST button to test the connection. Once the test is successfully completed, click OK.

NetSuite
1. Add any Name for the connection. The Alias will automatically generate based on the Name.
2. Enter your NetSuite URL, E-Mail Address, Password and Account. Optionally, you can specify a Role associated with the connected user. Custom NetSuite roles are not supported.
3. Click the TEST button to test the connection. Once the test is successfully completed, click OK.

Salesforce Marketing Cloud (ExactTarget)
1. Add any Name for the connection. The Alias will automatically generate based on the Name.
2. Enter your Salesforce Marketing Cloud URL, Username, Password, Subscriber Primary Key and Client ID.
3. Click the TEST button to test the connection. Once the test is successfully completed, click OK.

Silverpop
1. Add any Name for the connection. The Alias will automatically generate based on the Name.
2. Enter your Silverpop Server URL, User Name and Password.
3. Click the TEST button to test the connection. Once the test is successfully completed, click OK.
