Learn how to navigate the Main Stage location within a Go Live event.
Access the Main Stage from the navigation bar on the top right of the screen or click a session tile for a session that’s currently underway.
- The speaker and content will appear in the main box on the left side of the screen.
- Controls such as chat toggle, enter full screen, participant list, settings, camera/microphone toggles, and the leave session button appear along the top of the screen.
- A session chat and polls box will appear on the right side of the screen. Attendees can type messages into the chat or answer the polling questions. Within the Chat tab, users can filter to chat at the event level, session level, or directly with other attendees.
- Below the main speaker and content window, users will find an “About” tab with information about the session and Main Stage. The next tab, “Speakers,” shows all speakers for that session with a photo, title, and company. Finally, the “Related Content” tab includes downloadable content, such as PDFs or other documents, for attendees to view or download to learn more once the session is over.
- To the right of the About, Speakers, and Related Content tabs, users will see the “Next in MAIN STAGE” section, which shows tiles for the upcoming sessions with time, title, and speakers. Users can favorite these sessions by clicking the star on the tile.
There are two types of sessions – Keynote and Breakout.
Keynote sessions include presenters on camera speaking to the audience. These sessions can include up to 10 presenters on webcam and screenshare, and up to 5,000 attendees participating via text chat.
Note: If Keynote sessions are scheduled back to back there may be a short delay (1-3minutes) between each Keynote. The Keynote will start after that delay.
Breakout sessions include all attendees on camera, so they can interact with one another. These sessions can include up to 50 participants interacting via webcams, including screen sharing and moderation.
Session Alerts
When a session is starting soon, an alert will appear at the top of the screen notifying attendees.
Full Screen Viewing Option
To get a more immersive viewing experience participants and presenters can click the full screen viewing option. To revert back to the standard view, click the icon again or press the Esc key.

Running an Elite Webinar Session in Go Live
When running an Elite webinar session in Go Live, the Elite webinar console will be fully embedded in the Go Live session. This allows Go Live attendees to view the same audience experience as standalone webinar viewer. This will slightly change the look and functionality of the Main Stage area. The toolbar at the top will include a full screen icon and a chat icon to toggle chat on / off. Learn more about Running an Elite Webinar within Go Live .
