Learn how to customize the Audience URL for social sharing and how to create a vanity / custom URL in Webcast Elite.
Sharing the Event on Social Media
Sharing the Audience URL with your LinkedIn and Facebook network will automatically display the webcast title, date, and time. The date and time will be displayed in the localized language assigned to the webcast.
But if you would like your post to also show an image and an abstract, click on the event's Registration tab and find the Social Sharing option in the Settings drop-down. The abstract and image added here will be available for both social media sharing and if you have an Engagement Hub.
We recommend using a 16:9 aspect ratio image.
Note: Please ensure the images and abstracts are exactly how you want them to appear before posting the URL to your social media sites. Websites like Facebook and LinkedIn have their own caching policy. Therefore, any changes you make will not immediately display. This can sometimes lead to a long wait to make any updates.
Some social sites may not support images and abstracts.
When you're ready to post on social media, click the copy icon to copy the URL to your clipboard, then post on your social media.

Engagement Hub Thumbnails and Summary
For those with Engagement Hub, adding a thumbnail in the Engagement Hub & Social Sharing section of the event's Registration tab will also set the thumbnail for the upcoming webinar in the Engagement Hub. Adding an abstract will provide a brief summary to appear below the thumbnail on the Engagement Hub registration and landing pages.
The landing pages for upcoming events in the Engagement Hub will automatically inherit the promotional summary regardless of the setting on the content title itself. There is also the ability to have on-demand webinars inherit the promotional summary from live events in Elite. Find more information on the webinar abstract in the Engagement Hub here.
- If you are using both registration AND landing pages in the Engagement Hub, we recommend using 1120px by 630px images.
- If you do not have landing pages enabled, you can also use 640px by 360px images.
- We recommend using a thumbnail with no text as the title and other important elements are already included.
- Note: Events that have been selected to automatically publish to the Engagement Hub will have a default thumbnail from the ON24 Stock Library, but the thumbnail can be updated here.
