Follow the steps and best practices on this page to edit the archived live webinar for on-demand viewing in the Elite Studio Recording Interface. Learn about editing storyboard elements, editing and uploading audio and video, and setting timings.
If you would like to be an early adopter and have this enabled in your account, please reach out to your CSM.
If your account has the original Elite Presentations, find information on editing your archived webinar in that interface here.
Approximately three hours after the webcast ends, the Archive will be available and the Present URL will allow you into the editing interface. You will be able to do the following:
- Rearrange or hide elements in the storyboard (slides, poll questions, etc.)
- Replace the existing Presenter Video file
- Note: Editing the Presenter Video file itself cannot be done in the Elite Studio Recording Interface.
- Replace and/or re-record audio files in the Clip Bin
If you wish to leave the original webcast intact for on-demand viewers, simply create a copy of the original and make edits to the new webcast.
To do any updating of the event, use the Present URL and log in as a Producer. The Elite Studio Recording Interface will automatically connect your camera and microphone. If it is the first time you are pulling up the archived event, the slides will need to load.
Updating a Video File
If your original event was a video event (if your presenters were on webcam during a live event, or you uploaded a Presenter Video file for a Simu-live event), you can replace the video file in the on-demand version.
Note: You will not be able to EDIT the Presenter Video file in the Elite Studio Recording Interface, but you can upload a new file from your network.
|Open the Setup window from the menu
Click on the Presenter Media tab under Media and choose Replace to upload a new .mp4.
Once the file has been updated, organize the Storyboard as necessary - see below for more info.
Replacing Audio Files
If your original event was an audio-only event (no one was connected via webcam during a live event and you did not upload a Presenter Video file for a Simu-live event), you can replace the video file in the on-demand version.
|Open the Setup window from the menu
|Click on the Presenter Media tab under Media and turn off Use Uploaded File for the Presenter.
Once the toggle is off, the Clip Bin will be available to import new audio clips.
Note: You cannot edit the elements from the live event, but you can add or replace the PowerPoints and video clips, add new polls or URLs, or hide elements you no longer want to appear.
Start in the Setup menu. Select the Storyboard Organizer to ensure your elements are in the correct order.
Click and drag the elements to reorder, or hover over an element to access the Hide option.
To update timings, click on the Marker in the Timeline and drag it to the appropriate timing.
You can only move a marker as far as the next one. For example, in this image, marker 3 cannot be moved past marker 4 on the Timeline.
If you need to move one marker past another, open the Storyboard Organizer again and rearrange the elements, then set their timing on the Timeline.
To see the start time and duration of each element/marker, select Marker Timings in the Setup tool.
The Marker Timings will update when an element is updated in the Storyboard or in the Timeline.
Note: All information in the Marker Timings table is read-only at this time.
If you need to add or replace slide decks, open the Setup tool and click on the Slides icon.
Add your new decks, then click and drag them to the appropriate places both in the Storyboard Organizer and the Timeline.
Publish the Updated Presentation
Once all the changes have been made, you will need to publish your presentation.
Click on the first element in your storyboard (so the system knows to start your presentation there) and click Publish. A message will appear to confirm you want to publish the webcast.
