Does the HubSpot app support customers using the ON24 EU data center?
Customers using the ON24 EU data center can now use the HubSpot app. The HubSpot app supports the EU data center customers as of December 9th, 2022.
What is a Custom Object?
A Custom Object is a specific record for each type of ON24 object. For example, five ON24 webinars create five Custom Objects within HubSpot. Users can see when a Contact requests a demo, answers a poll, clicks on content, and more. This information can be used to drive personalized follow-up within HubSpot.
What is a Marketing Event object?
A Marketing Event object is a new object introduced by HubSpot to correspond to virtual or physical events. A record can be created to correspond to an event outside of HubSpot, like a webinar, and Contacts can be associated with these events.
What are Activities?
The Activities object includes details of when a Contact registered or attended an ON24 event. Activities details help users understand when a Contact takes an action so they can determine the next best step in the buyer’s journey.
Can I modify the HubSpot app to not create new contacts?
No, the HubSpot app will create contacts by default. At the present time, this can't be customized.
HubSpot API Key Sunset
HubSpot will be sunsetting their API Keys and integrations will require the use of Private Apps by November 30, 2022. For information, please review HubSpot’s announcement and video. ON24 has addressed this requirement for the ON24 HubSpot app . As a result, customers who integrate before and after November 30th will have no action item because of this change.
Note: Data integrations using TIBCO Scribe or custom solutions using ON24’s REST API are not impacted by this change.
Uninstall the ON24 HubSpot App

- Log into HubSpot
- Click on Settings

- Locate the ON24 app. Click Actions. Select Uninstall.

Updating to ON24 HubSpot App Version 2.0
- If you are using an old version of the ON24 HubSpot App, please update to version 2.0.
- You will need to uninstall the older ON24 app.
- Navigate back to the App Marketplace to install the new ON24 app version.
