Summary of how the Dynamics 365 Customer Insights - Journeys (formally known as Dynamics for Marketing) TIBCO Scribe solution works

- Events
- The TIBCO Scribe solution will look up an event record. If the msevtmgt_event record exists, the record will update. If it does not exist, then it will create the msevtmgt_event record.
- Registrants
- The TIBCO Scribe solution will look up the registrant. If the msevtmgt_eventregistration record already exists, then it'll stop because it shouldn't create a duplicate record. If it doesn't exist, then it'll look up the contact by using the email address. If there is a contact with that email address, then it'll create a msevtmgt_eventregistration and attendee_customentity (if needed) record. If there isn't a match, then it will look up the lead by using the email address. If it does exist, then it will only create the attendee_customentity record. If there is no lead, then you have the option to create a lead record, which will then create the custom entity.
- Attendees
- The TIBCO Scribe solution will look up the attendee. If the msevtmgt_checkin already exists, then it'll update the registrant-attendee_customentity record. If it doesn't exist, then it'll create the msevtmgt_checkin and then the registrant-attendee_customentity record.
