Connect integrates data from the ON24 platform into several leading Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Marketing Automation Platform (MAP), and business intelligence tools. Data collected through ON24 events and content experiences is stored in ON24’s data warehouse through the ON24 REST API.
What is Connect Integrations?
Connect is a license that provides connectors, tools and access to get supported data into and out of the ON24 platform into several leading customer relationship management (CRM), marketing automation platforms (MAP), and business intelligence tools.
Note: Any manipulation, logic or formulations need to be done prior to sending data to ON24 or after retrieving from ON24.

Each unit of Connect you purchase can be applied to a single workspace and allows you to integrate up to two end systems for that workspace.

How Does it Work?
Data is Collected
- A person may provide a first name, last name, email address, company name, and job title while registering for an event or content experience.
- This person may attend the event and interact, such as answering a poll, clicking on a CTA, or asking a question.
- ON24 collects this Attendee Engagement data (poll responses, survey responses, attended minutes, etc.)
- ON24 also collects Attendee Conversion data, such those who actively reached out during the event to schedule a demo, book meetings, etc.
Data is Stored in ON24’s Warehouse
- All the data mentioned above is stored in ON24’s data warehouse through the ON24 REST API.
- The REST API is the entrance to get access to the data. This is the method used to communicate with ON24’s data warehouse.
- You will receive an API key and secret, which gives you permission to access the information you want, such as attendee data.
Connections
The various ways to access ON24's REST API include:
- ON24 Apps/Connectors - These are apps or connectors that were built and supported by ON24. The apps or connectors are available through ON24 Elite Integrations.
- TIBCO Scribe - ON24 uses TIBCO as our iPaaS partner to pass data from ON24 to some end systems (i.e., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Dynamics).

3rd Party Apps/Connectors - These are apps or connectors that were built by a third party, which is typically the end system. You will need to contact the vendor for integration support.
- Note: Zapier is another iPaaS solution but it must be managed and supported by you.
- Client Code – You may choose to have your developers build a custom solution using the ON24 REST API to retrieve data for the following reasons: you want to retrieve more data than what the supported integration offers, you may want to integrate with an end system that isn’t currently supported, or you may want to control the security of your platform by not giving ON24 direct API access.

This integration service is supported by the Integrations Support team as a one-time engagement to perform specific tasks related to end system integrations licensed through ON24 Connect (e.g.: Delivering data to end systems such as Marketo, HubSpot, Salesforce, Veeva, etc.).
When this service may be needed:
- When 4 hours of basic support included with ON24 Connect is exceeded
- When live person support is requested for a walk through of the data integration set up instructions
- When an audit or step-by-step review of existing integration is needed/requested. New hire(s) tend to benefit from this to familiarize themselves with the ON24 Connect configurations and capabilities.
- When moving from one end-system to another or when multiple integrations are in place and one or more needs to be replaced for a new end system.
- Transitioning from the North America to the European Union data center and need confirmation that the setup of the ON24 integration is done correctly.

This service has a one-year term and includes a dedicated ON24 resource for support. This service requires a scoping process prior to purchase to ensure needs can be met.
When this service may be needed:
- You have multiple end-systems and need dedicated support and consultation of best practices.
- You have limited availability of technical resources and wish to be assigned a dedicated technical resource who has historical knowledge of your integration (vs. opening a case and an available resource will be assigned).
- You do not want to use the ON24 supported app or connector and would like to use Scribe to customize the integration for specific business needs
- You would like to use Zapier but do not have the available internal technical resources.
- You want to build a custom solution using the REST API and needs additional guidance interpreting the data.
- Standard Scribe integration does not support your needs. Custom or non-standard mapping is required (i.e., writing to an entity that the standard template does not support) to meet business needs.

Note: In regard to REST API, Event-level endpoints will still return the data. Event-level endpoints require clients to explicitly call out the specific eventid in the request path, so these endpoints will return data even if the custom tag has been added to an event.
