Learn how to integrate Drift Chat into your Webcast Elite experience.
Drift is a leader in the chatbot / conversational marketing space. Chatbots allow your audience to engage directly with your team, or deliver relevant content journeys and information so you can qualify more leads and accelerate buyer journeys.
To take advantage of this functionality, you must be a Drift customer.
Set Up
In the Console Builder tab of your event, add the Drift Chat tool from the Tools Manager.
Click the gear icon on the tool to open Configuration and enter the Drift code.
Each Drift account has a unique identifier. Find it within your Drift account at Settings > App Settings > Drift Widget > Install > JavaScript.
Within JavaScript, there is a unique alphanumeric ID located towards the bottom. Look for the drift.load ID, and enter it in the field (do not enter the apostrophes or parenthesis).
As a best practice, you will want to target a Drift playbook to your webinar. To do that, find your webinar event ID. You can find that on the Overview page, or take it from the Audience URL.
Next, go into Drift > Playbooks. Click on the Playbook you want to use within your webinar. Click on Targeting > Display.
Create a rule to show the playbook when the URL includes the Event ID.
For example, if your webinar Event ID is 6282818, you would want to create the condition “URL includes 6282818”.
Note: The above describes targeting a playbook based on the Event ID. Drift provides a lot of targeting flexibility, so you could set up a rule to target based on something other than the event ID. Refer to this Targeting Conditions article from Drift for further information.
Publish the change after you add the targeting rule.
The end result is a Drift playbook within the audience console.
In this example, a “Schedule a Meeting” playbook has been added.
For additional information about setting up and using Drift playbooks, review the Drift Knowledge page.
