This article highlights features available in Next Generation (NextGen) Elite Studio that are not available in Classic Webcast Elite Studio.

Features available only in NextGen Elite Studio and Video Player

• Test your connection before joining. Presenters can run Test Connection before entering Elite Studio. The diagnostic checks browser support, microphone, camera, network, bandwidth, packet loss, and CPU and memory. See Next Generation Elite | Connecting to Elite Studio.

• Monitor signal strength and receive an auto camera-off prompt. Elite Studio displays connection strength. If the signal drops to one bar for more than 10 seconds, a prompt offers the option to turn off the camera and continue presenting with the microphone only.

• Choose how many presenter webcams to show. Use the Max Live Webcams menu to choose the number of presenter feeds shown to the audience: 1–4, 8, or 16.

• Use Greenroom (Beta). Greenroom gives presenters and producers a separate space to prepare while an event is live. Producers can move presenters between Greenroom and the live event. Greenroom must be enabled at the account level and added to the event by a Producer. It is not available for Forums. See Next Generation Elite | Elite Studio User Guide.

• Automated Live Caption Language Support for 18 Languages:  Language Support for See: Language Options

• No Elite Studio Support for Firefox or iPhone. Presenting from these browsers or devices is not supported. Full focus is on Edge and Chrome browsers. Tablet and desktop support is also optimized for the best audience and presenter experience.
• No Phone/Dial in or VCU connection. Connecting is supported from device camera and audio only for a more video focused online event.
• Preview URL Media Player feed is not supported. The Media player preview can be seen in Elite Studio in real time - eliminating the need to use the Preview URL just before or during presentations, making it simple for your presenters to know what is being shown.

Note: Forums events also use the NextGen video system and contain the same features.
