Things To Know

• Key Moments data is retroactive and will populate if the event met the requirements prior to the Key Moments being enabled. 
• It may take up to 24 hours for the Key Moments analysis to appear in the event's Webcast Intelligence Report
• On-demand audience data is not included, but AI-based text analysis can be used to generate Key Moments for an On-Demand-only webinar.
• The Key Moments from an event can be automatically created into video clips. The automated pipeline ingests the SFA (Single File Archive) file with speaker and slide windows into the Video Builder, creating Key Moment video projects based on the Key Moment analytics report time codes.

Requirements

There are two different ways Key Moments can be created, depending on the activity in your event - AI based and/or Interactions based.

AI Based Key Moments

If you have automated on-demand captioning and it is active for the event OR you requested the creation of Key Moments Video Clips, the platform will pull info based on the transcript of your event and map it against the Moments created in the event. 

There is no minimum attendee requirement but events must be live for at least 15 minutes with a minimum of 200 spoken words to provide enough data for AI analysis.

Note: AI-generated content is created using OpenAI's GPT technology. You retain full ownership of the information you provide and full ownership of the generated assets. ON24 and OpenAI do not use this information for anything other than the requested service.

Interactions Based

Even if you don't have automated on-demand captioning or request Key Moments Video Clips, Key Moments can still be created based on interactions in your live event.  The platform uses info based on reactions used, questions asked, and buying signals/CTAs clicked during the event and maps it against the Moments.

In order to create Key Moments your live event MUST have:

• A minimum of 50 attendees
• An active Reactions tool on the Audience Console
• Receive at least 20 reactions, questions, and/or conversion tool clicks

Combination Key Moments

Key Moments can be based on both AI and Interactions.  Use the chart below to see if your event will have Key Moments created.

Possible Reasons You Don't Have Any Key Moments

There are several reasons why an event may get processed successfully without any Key Moments being found. Some possible reasons include:

• • The event was not long enough
  • There were not enough attendees
  • If there is no transcript for AI-based Key Moments, and there was not enough engagement from attendees to base Key Moment processing on
  • The only Key Moments found were either the first or last moments of the event
    • First and last moments are excluded from Key Moment consideration, since they are generally just introductions or farewells, which generally do produce engagement but are not substantive highlights of an event

Key Moments Report

To create Key Moments, events are first divided into Moments based on the times the presenter moved from one slide to the next in your accompanying slide deck.  For sections that do not include slides, the report will be broken up into 2-minute blocks.  

From these Moments, ON24 analyzes all Webcast Elite and Forums events that meet the data requirements after the live event has ended and creates Key Moments, moments your attendees were most likely to react or showed the most interest in your event.  

Where to Find Key Moments 

Once created, Key Moments are found in the webcast or Forum event Reports URL.  From there, click on the Key Moments tab.  

If no Key Moments were found for the webinar, either because your event does not have the requisite data for analyzing Key Moments or because there were just no qualifying moments during the event, there will be no Key Moments tab in the navigation.

Summary Section

The Summary at the top of the report shows Key Moments data for each slide in your webinar.  The numbers are for the time during which that slide was displayed for your audience.

To view different moments in the Summary, use the Previous and Next arrows on either side or click on any box in the grid below to go directly to that moment, or click on the desired slide in the grid at the bottom of the page. 

Snapshot of the Slide

• The largest image is a snapshot of the slide shown during this moment of the event
• If no slide was shown (if a video or screen was being shared, or no slides were used), a generic image will be shown here.  

Moment Summary

• Shows the number of interactions from your audience during the time this slide was displayed
• Use the metrics to determine what type of engagement you are getting from your audience
• The following are included here:
  • Questions asked by attendees using the Q&A tool
  • Clicks on Conversion tools
  • Clicks on the Reactions tool

View Clip

• Clicking on View Clip takes you directly to that moment of your event so you can see what was being said during that time.
• Note: You must register for the event using your standard registration before using the View Clip feature.

Grid Views

The Grid view displays under the slide Summary and shows all moments that were analyzed for this event.

The Grid displays the moments in chronological order, from left to right, top to bottom. Each box in the grid includes a thumbnail picture of the slide displayed during that moment (the same picture is displayed in the Summary) and the start time of the moment (duration after the start of the event when that moment began).

The Grid is color coded with a heatmap - yellow represents the least engaging parts of your event, going up through orange to deep red, representing the moments determined to be the Key Moments of this event.

Key Moments are given a gem badge, so you can easily find the most engaging and interactive parts of the event.

You can filter the Grid view using the dropdown menu to show all moments or show only Key Moments.

List View

The List View provides more data about actions that happened during a time period.  Click on the List View icon to view data for Key Moments in the event.

Note: The List View only displays data for the Key Moments found in the event.

For each Key Moment, the data table below the Summary will show:

• Slide Thumbnail – If there was a slide showing during this time period, this column will have a thumbnail image of the slide, as shown in the Summary above.
• Time – The timing of this moment (represented as duration from the start of the event).
• Slide Text – The text we were able to pull from the slide that is showing during this time period.
• Questions – The text of the first few questions that were asked during this time period. If there were more questions asked than fit in this space, clicking on the More link will take you to the Q&A report for this event, to see the full text of all questions.
• Chat – The text of the first few chat messages that were entered during this time period. If there were more chat messages than fit in this space, clicking on the More link will take you to the Chat report for this event, to see the full text of all chat messages.
• Buying Signals – The number of clicks on any conversion tools during this time period.
• Like, Heart, Clap, Celebrate – The number of clicks on each of these emojis in the Reactions tool.
• Action (Eye icon) – Clicking on the Eye icon will open this Webcast or Forum and take you directly to the time of that moment in the event so you can see what was being said during that time. This is the same as clicking on the View Clip link in the Moment Summary above

Sharing Key Moments

The Share Key Moments feature in the Key Moments report allows you to select a set of Key Moments from the event and generate embeddable HTML for those Key Moments.  

Enter titles that will be displayed along with slide thumbnails and deep links into the event. This can be used on web sites, blogs, or email reminders.  Viewers can click on the Key Moment and the media player automatically advances the event to that moment.  

• If users have previously registered, the event launches
• If they have not registered, users need to complete registration in order to access the Key Moment

From the Grid View, click on Share Key Moments

Check the boxes of the Key Moments you would like to include.  Add a title in the box shown on the Key Moment, then click Continue with Key Moments.

Click Copy HTML to grab the code, then embed where desired. 

Note: For use in an email, you will need to drop the HTML into your HTML source code for your email.  Make note of where the embedded HTML goes, inside the correct HTML tags  in your source.

Click Preview to see it from the audience's perspective.
