With Key Moments Video Clips, you can easily find the most engaging moments from your event and automatically create video clips. This article covers how to generate, edit, and share Key Moments Video Clips so you can continue highlighting your best webinar content across multiple channels after the live event.
Key Moments are identified by analyzing the times your audience was most likely to interact with your content during an event. Then, our automated pipeline brings a webinar's Single File Archive directly into the Video Builder and creates Key Moment video projects based on the time codes in the Key Moments Reporting. Key Moments Video Clips provide insights and content you can use to:
- Identify the portions of your events that resonate most with the audience, potentially providing ideas for development of new related content
- Repurpose the best moments of your webinars into bite-size content that can be distributed through multiple channels
- Drive additional consumption of the recorded event for those who did not attend the live session
- Create nurture campaigns with ready-to-use content with minimal effort

Key Moments Video Clips will be generated when requested for video-based events that meet the criteria for generating Key Moments reporting.
- The event must be at least 15 minutes long with a minimum of 200 words spoken (in one of the original speech-to-text on-demand captioning languages) and/or must have a minimum of 50 attendees with at least 20 reactions (questions, chat messages, buying signals)

- Events with the following characteristics cannot be used to generate Key Moments Video Clips:
- Audio-only event with no slides
- Recurring Simu-Live event
- Breakout Rooms
- A hybrid event with the "in-person" option enabled
- Events that do not meet the requirements for generating Key Moments reporting
- Key Moments Video Clips do not generate when clients use a silent audio file as Presenter Media and a video clip as content for Simu-live and On-Demand events.
Requirements for Events that Use Slides
-
-
-
Due to the way the Key Moments Video Clips are generated, there are some requirements for events that use slides.
- If there are zero slides used or presented, Key Moments Video Clips will be created as expected.
- There is a minimum of three slides typically required for the clip creation. This is due to the system eliminating the first and last slide to avoid having introductions or closings.
- If there is only a single slide, but the slide presented is of significant duration, it will be broken into five minute segments and eliminate the first and last segment.

Duration of Key Moments Video Clips
- A Key Moment within the ON24 platform is set to the duration that the presenter speaks to a slide in which the Key Moment occurs.
- Longer duration slides will be split so there are no Key Moments longer than five minutes.
- For events that do not use slides, the duration defaults to two minutes.
- The length of a Key Moments Video Clip is a few seconds longer than what is listed in the Key Moments report. For example, if a Key Moment listed in the report is 4 minutes, then the corresponding video will be 4:03 or 4:04 long, because it contains the title and the outro.
