Virtual backgrounds enhance professionalism and branding for presenters in Live Webcast, Video Sim-2-Live Webcast, Breakout Rooms, and Forums. Presenters can use custom, stock, or blur backgrounds, while attendees have limited options. Backgrounds can be selected when joining or changed anytime via Elite Studio's toolbar. For best results, use a high-contrast, solid-color backdrop, avoid matching clothing, and keep the background close. Producers can upload custom backgrounds (16:9 ratio, max 5MB) in Elite Studio under Setup for presenter use only.

Using Virtual Backgrounds
You can choose a virtual background when you first join the event in Elite Studio, or you can choose a background later in the top toolbar. You can change the background during the event if desired.
From the Join Panel or the top toolbar in Elite Studio, click the Background button to choose a background or blur.
For best results with virtual backgrounds:
- Use a high-contrast, solid-color backdrop, preferably a green screen. A matte, non-reflective background works best.
- Keep your background surface close to you.
- Don’t wear clothing that’s the same color as your background or the virtual background.
- For best results, have a solid color wall behind you. A lot of clutter behind you will yield lower quality results.

Uploading Virtual Backgrounds
To use a custom virtual background that aligns with your brand or console design, log in to Elite Studio as a Producer. You must also be logged into Webcast Elite in order to upload a background.
Note: Custom backgrounds will only be available to the presenting team in Elite Studio. Attendees of the event/Breakout Room will only have access to the stock images and blurring.
To add a virtual background in Elite Studio, click Setup in the top toolbar to find the Virtual Backgrounds settings.
In Setup, click the Virtual Backgrounds icon on the left menu. Here, you can click to upload or drag and drop one or more background images. Once you have uploaded an image, you can hide or delete it to make it unavailable to presenters. Only uploaded images can be hidden or deleted.
