Webcast Elite
Agentic Event Creation - BETA
Introducing agentic event creation, a smart assistant designed to streamline event setup inside the ON24 platform. By asking a few simple questions—such as your use case, event type, and presentation format (slides or screen share), etc.— the agent quickly recommends the best event template and layout for both registration page and the event console, including tools recommendations. This ensures a faster, more intuitive setup process, saving admins time while optimizing webinar experience.
Find more information in the Agentic Event Creation and Template Library article.
Note: This feature will be enabled outside of the core release schedule - it is expected on all accounts by April 11, 2025
Event Template Library & Filters - BETA
Introducing a new event template library, a curated collection of pre-configured event templates designed to match your specific use case and preferences with different configurations. Whether you're hosting a demand generation webinar, training session, or product feedback event, you can easily browse and select a template with the ideal layout and settings. Filters are available to sort templates by use case or recently used options, making it easier to find the most relevant template. This feature simplifies event setup, ensuring a seamless experience while giving marketers the flexibility to customize as needed.
As part of the event template library, we are introducing Intelligent Layout Templates. During the event setup process with the agent, users will select from a manually configured, fully editable layout or an Intelligent Layout.
Events based on the Intelligent Layout template have a fixed layout that cannot be modified – users select the engagement tools they want, and intelligent layout handles the rest. While this limits layout customization, it simplifies event setup, keeps the interface modern and responsive, and prevents accidental changes.
Additionally, it enables new UI behaviors, such as a panel on the right side of the console for displaying various supporting tools not directly related to slide or video.
Find more information in the Agentic Event Creation and Template Library article.
Note: This feature will be enabled outside of the core release schedule - it is expected on all accounts by April 11, 2025.
Elite Studio AI Generated Smart Questions - BETA
As attendees submit their questions, the Elite Studio Q&A window will feature a dedicated tab that uses AI to group similar inquiries into a single, representative "Smart Question" question. AI also prioritizes the most frequently asked questions, ensuring that the most popular ones are surfaced first.
Note: This feature will be enabled outside of the core release schedule - rollout is TBD and requires AI-Powered ACE.
Support for Certificates in Portrait Orientation
In the Earn Certification tool, you can now include a certificate that has a portrait orientation (image is taller than it is wide). This allows for more options for the printable certificate that is provided to attendees. Previously, we only supported certificates that have a landscape orientation (image is wider than it is tall).
Easily Change Tool Names from the Tools Selector
From the Console Builder > Tools Selector, admins can now edit the names of the engagement tools. From that single UI, an admin can quickly change the names of multiple tools, rather than having to go to each tool's Attributes settings, one at a time. Note: The name field in each tool's Attributes settings is still available. It is not being removed.
Breakout Room Configuration UI Updates
The Breakout Room configuration screen has been updated. Instead of one long list of settings, the settings are now organized into three tabs, making room setup less daunting. This is a cosmetic change, with no functionality changing.
Scheduled Event Archiving – Greater Control Over Event Archiving – Now with Custom Start & End Dates
We’re introducing a new level of flexibility for event archiving. Instead of predefined durations, you can now set a custom start and end date for when archived content becomes available. This ensures compliance with industry regulations while maintaining better control over post-event content distribution. If your review period ends earlier than the initially set archive date, you can change the start date to an earlier time to release your content earlier.
Additionally, a new account-level setting allows admins to set a default archive start time for all events. If no selection is made, the system will default to 1/2 hour after the event ends, which can be adjusted via our Platform Support team.
Find more information in the Event Archiving Options article.
Theme Customization is Back—HEX Color Selection (BETA)
We’re reintroducing Theme Customization for registration pages. Easily switch between our predefined theme and your custom brand colors for backgrounds, text, and buttons. For the custom colors, we will default to your branding colors, but for ultimate precision, you can enter in any HEX codes you need to ensure your branding is exactly as you want it. Each section of the registration page has its own design settings, allowing for full customization. Real-time previews let you see your changes before publishing.
Email Branding Updates
Your Global Branding colors now extend to emails. The header and buttons in event-related emails will automatically adopt your selected branding color whether it’s your Global Brand or selected theme color, ensuring a consistent and professional look. Plus, you can preview these changes in real-time before sending.
Find more information on setting up email notifications.
Multi-Language Events - BETA: Account Level Toggle to Disable Event Title Translation
Introducing an account-level setting to disable event title translations, helping you preserve event title accuracy. When enabled, event titles will always display in their original event language for every event in the account, regardless of user language settings. Perfect for ensuring consistency across multilingual events.
Find more information in the Language Options tab on the Using the Registration Page Builder article.
Note: The Multi-language Events feature (currently in Beta) uses AI to generate translations. When it becomes generally available (GA), it may be offered as a paid add-on.
Event Archiving
To align with industry standards, best practices, and meet customer demand Event Archiving limits will be changed to 3-years. This change will take effect upon renewal of your contract. Upon contract renewal:
- All future events will be limited to a 3-year retention, available shorter durations are unchanged.
- All past events with an Always retention, will be reset to 3-years. Events set to a shorter duration are unchanged.
- The Elite Admin UI will be updated to show the Archive Start Date.
Customers wishing to adopt or accelerate this process to meet their internal retention policies should contact their CSM.
Miscellaneous Enhancements & Fixes
- For events where the Related Content tool had the "Show on Launch for Mobile" attribute enabled, clicking the Ask Question tool in the mobile console would incorrectly open the Related Content tool. This issue has been resolved.
- For on-demand events with video clips, pausing and resuming playback would sometimes cause the video to restart from the beginning instead of resuming from the paused point. This issue has been resolved.
- In events using the top navigation menu style, tools configured with Show on Launch enabled and Allow Minimizing disabled were incorrectly appearing in the menu. This issue has been resolved.
- We have increased the character limit of the two-column section to 20,000 so that you can type away without having to worry about adding a new section for all you want/need to say.
- Add support for French Canadian language translation to the registration and lobby pages
- Access to registration and lobby pages from the Audience URL is no longer available for inactive events.
- For the registration pages, we have reduced the padding across the page for a more compact look to get your audience to look at the next section.
Forums
Support Play/Pause for Video Clips
The ability to play, pause, rewind, and fast-forward video clips during a live Forum event will now be available for the default Forums configuration, Present from Elite Studio. Support for the other Forums configurations will be available in a future release.

Presenters, producers, and moderators will now be able to use all participant actions, such as mute, pin, disable mic, etc., by simply clicking anywhere on the target user’s tile. A list of actions will appear with all the functions normally found in the participant list. This will enable quicker control, and less effort. Key Moments Video Clips Generation from Uploaded Videos - BETA
Introducing Key Moments Video Clips generation from uploaded videos, a powerful new feature that automatically identifies and extracts the most important moments from your uploaded MP4 videos. Using AI intelligent analysis, the system generates short, impactful clips that highlight key insights in just a few clicks, making it easy to repurpose content for promotions, recaps, or social media. A minimum event length and additional requirements may be needed.
Check out the Key Moments Video Clips article for more details.
All Generated Content Returned When Using Tags filter
Now all the content generated from the source event will be returned when custom or funnel tags are used as a filter and the source event has these tags applied. This streamlines content discovery, making it easier for users to find, repurpose, and engage with event materials.
Intelligence
ON24 Performance Insights
The ON24 Performance Insights Email Summary is now available for all clients. This new feature enables customers to automatically receive post-event performance summaries for Live, Simu-live, and Sim-2-Live events via email.
The summary provides quick access to key event insights, including attendance metrics, key takeaways, speaker details, audience ratings, poll responses, and the top job titles and companies of attendees. By consolidating these insights into a single email, stakeholders can efficiently review and analyze event performance without needing to log into the platform.
The ON24 Performance Insights email is enabled by default for event creators, while copies to producers and presenters can be enabled through a toggle on the Account Dashboard. Additional recipients can be included upon request via Platform Support.
Note: Test events are excluded from this feature.
Webcast Intelligence Report UTM Chart
The Webcast Intelligence Report will include UTM charts, providing a visual breakdown of attendee UTM parameters. This enhancement, available in Live Performance and On-Demand Performance sections, helps users better understand their marketing attribution.

These fields are grouped under customeventfields and returned as key-value pairs (name, label, value) in the /v2/client/{clientId}/event and /v2/client/{clientId}/event/{eventId} endpoints. Update Search Bar Behavior to Phrase-Based Search
The search functionality in VC has been enhanced to support phrase-based search, ensuring more accurate and relevant results. Now, when users enter multiple words in the search bar, the system treats the input as a complete phrase rather than individual keywords. This improvement applies across all search options, including content search and briefcase search, delivering results that better align with user intent.
